 Our live are very busy so you don't get to eat healthy all the time. That's where food supplements can give you a boost to health eating and diet. They do not do any good if you do not purchase the right ones. Your body needs vitamins and minerals when you just eat fast food. Many doctors agree that food supplements can help make up for not eating a healthy diet. Research has shown and proven that people that take supplements especially vitamins C and E in higher levels then in food get additional health benefits. The Federal Food and Nutrition Board has indicated many times you need food supplements in your diet.
 

 It has been shown many times the supplements can help in the fight against cancer and heart disease. It has been proven that daily values in vitamins and supplements to prevent rickets and scurvy. This is true with vitamin C and E which are strong antioxidants which are need to block free radicals. It can be difficult to get enough nutrients from food especially greasy fast food. You need vitamin E but it is well know that it is in grease and vegetable oil so you need to take a supplement to replace the vitamin E.
 

 Studies have shown that getting more vitamin C can boost immunity improve lung function and help lower the risk of cancer and heart disease. Vitamin E is a very powerful antioxidant and can block the process that causes cholesterol to attach the artery walls. It has been shown that E can help prevent blood clots from forming which helps in the prevention of heart problems. It is impossible to get enough E from food so you need to take a supplement. While food supplements make sense you still need a healthy diet. Some people just don't eat enough fruits and vegetables and they need food supplements.
 

 It is impossible to think you can skip eating food and just take vitamins. You still need fiber mother nature still makes the best food for us to eat. You can now buy vegetables in pill form but you need to read the labels carefully to know if they will be beneficial. You need to be careful if you have a food allergy so you are not taken by surprise if it is in the supplement. They could contain oils and spices that you are allergic to so make sure to read the label.
